The Eichler design, brick veneer home takes advantage of the abundant glass and natural transparency in the home, intelligently inviting the majestic greenery of the outdoors through the grand windows to accentuate the high ceilings and polished wood decor.

Set on 1822 m2 of land, this resourceful home is spacious, comfortable and functions perfectly for the profile of residents that call Mundingburra home.

Thirty-four percent of the suburb is occupied by couples with a family and 15.5 percent are mature and independent while 11 percent are independent youth studying in the city.

9 Haughton Street has been characterised as an architecturally designed home with huge open living, library, lounge and kitchen with clear aspects to the gardens and towering rain trees timelessly shading and protecting the property from the summer heat of North Queensland.

On a balmy tropical summers’ day, the breezeway and undercover entertainment area overlooking the sparkling in ground salt water swimming pool provides a perfect sanctuary from the humid conditions, relaxing in your own indulgence in peace and quit or accommodating a generous number of friends and family for ambient dinner parties, or for more upbeat celebratory events.

And for those unsettled evenings and unseasonal days, the air conditioning and ceiling fans that adorn the home provide the essential climate control appliances for all-around comfortable living with security screens keeping unwelcome guests at bay.

For the book-worm or intellectual, the open plan library off the living room is a haven for discovering narratives and to let your ideas and imagination run wild, and on occasion, stretching your vision upon the leaves and branches of your own rainforest inspiration outside, transporting the subject in an instant to the giraffe-grazing reserves of the Masai Mara in an honest sense of realism.

This gorgeous home is worthy of the accolades of the Top Price Winner of the Week feature, and the owners and marketing agents can be rightfully proud of their achievements.

The bedrooms are generous in size as the design threads the earthy feel of the silky-oak decor into the built-in cupboards. A sizable laundry becomes kids study or utility room as it rests conveniently off the main thoroughfare of the living areas.

And the handyman of the manor will be delighted with the double car port and double lock garage with enough ventilation and lighting to retreat and tinker for hours on whatever takes his fancy.
